1 Scholarship Scholarships ranging from Rs.3,000/- to Rs.10,000/- are given to the children of ex-servicemen studying in various technical and vocational courses subject to terms and conditions. No annual income limit.
2 Orphan Grant Financial assistance of Rs.3,000/- per month is given to the orphaned children of ex-servicemen (up to 25 years for boys and up to 30 years for girls) subject to conditions. Annual income limit should not exceed Rs.500,000/-.
3 Lump sum Grant for Children A grant of Rs.10,000/- is given to children of ex-servicemen studying in Std X in Sainik school regardless of any other conditions.
4 Financial assistance for entrance coaching A amount of 9,000/- is provided to the children of ex-servicemen for appearing Engineering / MBBS entrance examinations subject to terms and conditions. (Limited 300 applicants only)
5 Medical assistance to World War II veterans An amount of 3,000/ as one time medical assistance to the World War II veterans. Annual income limit should not exceed Rs.200,000/-.
6 Financial assistance to ex-servicemen/ widows staying in nursing homes An amount of 2,000/- as monthly financial assistance is given to ex-servicemen/ widows living in approved old age homes in the state and having no other source of income.
7 Awareness programs at district levels Seminars/ awareness camps are organized annually at the district levels to create adequate awareness among ex-servicemen and widows about the various welfare activities and self-employment schemes implemented by the Central/ State Governments and Department of Military Welfare. A notification will be published in the media.
8 Rehabilitation training A maximum of Rs. 30,000/- per person is provided for institutions providing rehabilitation training to ex-servicemen and their dependents subject to conditions. Vocational training programmes are also provided to get employment in various fields.
9 Subsidy for self employment loan One-time top-up up to Rs.100,000/- is given subject to terms and conditions.
10 Formation of Self Help Groups to start Self Employment For self-employment ventures an amount of 25,000/- is provided to self-employment support groups of ex-servicemen and their dependents.
